Based on the book that tells the story of Henrietta Lacks, a woman whose cells were used (without her knowledge) to create the first immortal human cell line, "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" is told through the eyes of her daughter Deborah. This film chronicles Deborah's search to understand how the unauthorized harvesting of her mother’s cancerous cells led to unprecedented medical breakthroughs, changing the face of medicine forever.
