Re-LENT-Less theme for 2019 Lenten Season

We will be Re-LENT-Less throughout the season of Lent this year. Every weekend during worship, we will focus on a different theme:

March 9/10 - Relentless Temptation

March 16/17 - Relentless Care

March 23/24 - Relentless Patience

March 30/31 - Relentless Grace

April 6/7 - Relentless Extravagance

On Wednesday at 7:00pm throughout Lent, after a Soup Supper, we will sing the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy and reflect on "Re" word like:

Remember, Repeat, Repent, Rejoice, Renew, Return, Reform

PADS Volunteers Needed

PADS volunteers are needed, especially on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Please consider volunteering for this important and meaningful ministry.

PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) volunteers at Our Saviour’s directly assist, feed, and shelter homeless guests on Saturday nights, October through April.

Craft Connection - March 21

Welcome to the Craft Connection on Thursday, March 21 at 7:00pm

Come and sip sparkling grape juice, eat snacks, and meet up with friends as we create something beautiful together!

This month we will be painting the words "Amazing Grace" to form a cross on a wooden board (similar to the one pictured). It's perfect for your Easter decor! Paid registrations are due on Sunday, March 17.  All supplies and refreshments are provided! The cost is $12. Click here to register.

Lutheran Home Bingo Event - March 23

Members from Our Saviour's are invited to play Bingo and visit with residents at the Lutheran Home on Saturday, March 23, from 2:00 to 3:00pm, 1000 W. Oakton in Arlington Heights. 

Donations of snacks and unwrapped, inexpensive Bingo prizes are also needed. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are a treat for patients and are welcome (with record of current vaccinations).

Parking is limited, so meet at Our Saviour's at 1:30pm if you'd like to carpool.

Let's Go To The Movies - March 26

We'll meet at CMX Theater in downtown Arlington Heights. The movie and time will be posted on Thursday, March 21 on the bulletin board located outside of the Fellowship Hall, on the Our Saviour's group Facebook page, or call the church office (847-255-8700.)

Soup Surprise & White Elephant Bingo - April 9

Due to the extremely cold weather on January 29, Soup Surprise had to be rescheduled.

What is soup surprise? It is the delicious combination of non-creamed soups that are provided by those attending the event.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and chips and a sweet treat will also be provided. After lunch we will play Bingo for fun white elephant prizes that are also provided by those attending.

Cans of soup (again, no cream soups!) and white elephant gifts should be brought to Lois Nelson’s office (shares with Pastor Heidtke) by April 7.

You've Been Egged! - April 20

Our Saviour’s is bringing an Easter Egg Hunt to your home!

Volunteers have agreed to stuff, deliver, and hide eggs for children on Saturday evening, April 20. Children will wake up on Easter Sunday to an egg hunt in their own yard. Each family will be able to find a dozen eggs filled with items (candy too) telling the resurrection story.
