Description

Join OSLC member Doug Harrison for another educational field trip to Chicago Loop. See buildings constructed along Michigan Avenue and State Street from the time during and after the Columbian Exposition of 1893, when Chicago and other congested industrial cities focused upon beautifying and improving themselves through architecture and urban planning. We will carpool from Our Saviour's to the Cumberland CTA station and then take the "L' downtown together. At the end of the 2-hour tour we are invited to have lunch at the home of OSLC members whose residence provides fantastic views or the Chicago skyline, the major parks and Lake Michigan. There is no cost. Number of participants is limited and registration deadline is firmly fixed at Sunday, July 22. Rain date is August 1. [He]
