Young teens beginning at age 12 may participate in the Traditional Worship Service as Acolytes by lighting and extinguishing the candles, carrying the cross in and out of the worship space, and assisting during Holy Communion. Sixth graders attend new Acolyte training sessions.

Confirmation is Christian education for all youth who are in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The Confirmation program meets on Sunday evenings September through May, 7:00-8:30 pm. Our Confirmation program features large and small group learning environments; service requirements, and writing sermon reports. Students are confirmed in October of their 9th grade.

Giving Our Devotion is our Middle School/High School Choir. They meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. for rehearsal. The G.O.D. Choir sings in worship services periodically, about once a month, September through May.
Our annual Lenten Passion Play is open to middle school and high school actors. Crosswalks feature audience participation in the dramatic account of Jesus’s last hours before the crucifixion.
Middle School and High School Youth are responsible for the preparation and implementation of a Sunday Worship Service in May. The youth are responsible for the sermon, the children’s sermon, the ushering, and all music throughout the service.

High schoolers meet on Sundays at 10:30 am in the Youth Room for a Bible Study, discussion, and fellowship.

Senior High youth work together with volunteer adults to form the X-Team, which leads a weekly program utilizing skits and contemporary music for Sunday evening’s Confirmation Program's students.
Our High Schoolers are involved in a variety of service opportunities in the local community. Examples include a Feed My Starving Children packing event; assisting with a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser; and participating in Operation Christmas Child.

Every three years, the youth of Our Saviour’s travel to the National ELCA Youth Gathering for a week of faith, fellowship, and fun. Typically attended by 30,000+ youth and adults, they are immersed in worship, music, Bible study, community service, play, prayer, reflection, the witness of faithful leaders from around the world, and new friendships. The last gathering was in New Orleans in July 2009. The next Youth Gathering will be held in July 2012, also in New Orleans. Middle School and High School Youth are responsible for the preparation and implementation of a special worship service on a Sunday morning. The youth are responsible for the sermon, the children’s sermon, and all music throughout the service. This year, Youth Sunday will fall on February 5, 2012. On this day, our youth will also participate in the national effort to feed the hungry, known as "Souper Bowl of Caring". Money and food will be collected and distributed to those in need both locally and globally.
